Distinguished Professor Genevieve Bell AO will deliver the Garran Oration at the 2021 IPAA National Conference, Riding the Wave of Service Transformation, being held in Brisbane on 14–15 October 2021.

The Garran Oration honours the memory of one of the most prominent Australian Commonwealth public servants, Sir Robert Garran GCMG QC (1867–1957).

Professor Bell is the Director of the School of Cybernetics, the Director of the 3A Institute and the Florence Violet McKenzie Chair at the Australian National University. She is an Australian anthropologist renowned for her work at the intersection of cultural practice and technology development and as an influential voice within academia, industry and government.

The 2021 IPAA National Conference will be delivered at Brisbane’s Hilton Hotel, with live stream tickets available for those unable to attend in person. The Garran Oration will be delivered at the conference dinner on the evening of 14 October.
