Dr Damian West receives PSM honours

Dr Damian West, the ACT Government’s Deputy Director-General, Workforce Capability and Governance, IPAA ACT Councillor and IPAA National Secretary
Congratulations to Dr Damian West, the ACT Government’s Deputy Director-General, Workforce Capability and Governance, IPAA ACT Councillor and IPAA National Secretary, for being awarded a Public Service Medal (PSM) in the Queen’s Birthday 2022 Honours List. This recognition is for his outstanding strategic leadership and development of the ACT Public Service.
Among many of his achievements, Damian has been instrumental in advancing whole of service stewardship and the consolidation and enhancement of work, health, safety and wellbeing across the ACT Public Service. He has spearheaded changes in policy and practice to support the ACT Public Service through the COVID pandemic, including rolling out initiatives such as hybrid working arrangements that have enabled the Service to be flexible and responsive.
Damian has been a champion of change for the ACT Public Service Graduate program, which in 2022 was named for the first time, in the GradAustralia’s Top 100 Graduate Employers of Choice.
