Ray has had over 40 years experience in local and state government.
His career encompassed the direction of services delivery, providing policy and provision of corporate support functions. He has been responsible for major governance initiatives including risk management and developing audit and evaluation services in large and diverse state government agencies. He has a passion for promoting an ethical and accountable public service which was the subject of his Masters of Public Administration.
He has been a strong supporter of the Institute and its role in advocating and supporting the development of a professional and efficient public sector across the three tiers of government. He has been the Queensland Vice President for 15 years and has had a leading role in IPAA Queensland’s development.
He is a coordinator for the Australasian Reporting Awards which reinforces his interest in transparent and accountable management and is a member of bush care and environmental groups.
