Carolyn Burlew is a National Fellow of the Institute and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
She has held senior positions in the Queensland and NSW public sector. These include the Queensland Justice Department and Consumer Affairs, Premier’s Departments in both States, the NSW Department of Public Works and Services and Deputy Director General, Service Development and Planning, Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care. Carolyn is now working as a consultant.
Carolyn has been an active member of the Institute having joined the Queensland division in the late 1970s where she was also a Councillor. Carolyn has been on the NSW Council since 1996 and has held the roles of Councillor, Secretary, Treasurer and currently the role of Vice President.
Carolyn trained as a nurse and as well as nursing qualifications holds a Master of Public Administration, University of Queensland and Diploma Australian Institute of Company Directors.
